"A living creature" - I studied at BYU in Utah but received most of my traditional art training at Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art in So. California.
The composition here is somewhat shaky. Practically the only thing tying the two mountain elements is the central bush.
The values and hues, however, are nailed perfectly. The pervading fence gives a sense of restraint, as though the viewer is forbidden to walk into the foreground. Was this intentional?
