Welcome to my daily painting blog. This is a record of paintings that I started on January 1, 2006. Most of these pictures are small intimate paintings of everyday subject matter ranging from a single orange to a simple landscape; favoring simplicity over complexity in composition. I paint mostly from life and am quite interested in how light affects different subjects. I began this blog with a painting a day and now currently post about 3-4 paintings a week. The subtle, glowing light which makes the orange look transparent is really nice!
this painting has attitude as well as mystery, that segment seems to ahve cornered it's parent... bet it's an adolescent! lovely work.
