This is near Surfriders Beach in Malibu. I loved how everything was so gray this morning except for the blue/green color of the waves as they began to curl. It was a very calming spot and a relief from the busy drive on Hwy 1.

We just came back from the beach on vacation. Your painting is a nice reminder. Very nice work.
oh yes, I remember visual moments like this along Long Island Sound. Calm gray days, the smell of the sweet salt air, cool moisture, waves quietly lapping the shore...oh yes, another gem.
There is so much in this little jewel that I thought it was a larger piece. 5x7! Your economy of strokes have to be perfectly placed and color just right to pull this off. I'd better keep practicing! You're an inspiration as alwa

I love the restraint in this painting - the tones are close and your brush stokes are deliberate in general. nice.

It's beautiful! I love that wave gently curving, you can almost hear it lap! Your painting is very serene.
